What a great VSCR banquet! About 65 members, spouses and friends gathered at Crooners Lounge & Supper Club on January 28. A cocktail hour and dinner with animated conversation and elegant background piano were followed by remarkable stories from guest speaker Tim Parker’s adventurous car-filled life and career.

Eleven members joined or renewed their memberships at the banquet. Among them were Dan Iberg and Mike Boulka, BBQ kings of BIR, who have enthusiastically donated their time and talent to grill at our Friday evening track dinners. We welcome to the club Eileen and Gary Wetzel who were in attendance. Eileen is at the Bondurant School in Arizona as of this writing, earning her license to race her beautiful Austin Healey.

A tremendous thank you goes to Dick Wallrich, VSCR vice president, who planned this year’s banquet. His big effort resulted in a delightful evening.
